Abhishek Kapoor gets credit for story idea for ‘Rock On! 2’

Elaborating further on the controversy, Chaudhuri believes that when a writer pens a story, there are several inputs from different quarters. “You discuss it with your director and other people too, but that does not mean that credit should be given to all. Then the list would be endless!”

While the main characters played by Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli have been retained, the story moves forward with additional characters being introduced in the sequel.

The writer however refuses to divulge details about the rest of the cast or the story. “I am not at a liberty to talk about the film. Any information should be got from the producers or the director, I am sure Ritesh (Sidhwani) shall share it,” she says.

Rock On!!2 will be directed by ad-man and debutant Shujaat Saudagar. Meanwhile Chaudhuri is busy adapting a Mexican film, the rights of which have been acquired by Pocket Aces Pictures Pvt. Ltd owned by Ashwin Suresh and Anirudh Pandya
