‘Intense but not intriguing,’ describes the tone of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Part A. The movie stars Rakshit Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth as Manu and Priya, and tells the heart-wrenching tale of their love. Set against the backdrop of 2010, the story kicks off with a heated argument in a luxurious car, their destinies hanging in the balance, intertwined with the thrill of high-speed drives.

Director Hemanth Rao embarks on a journey that steers Manu and Priya away from their middle-class aspirations, leaving their hearts shattered and their smiles fading. This thought-provoking film raises an essential question: To what lengths will an ordinary middle-class man go to secure his existence within the confines of a mere apartment?

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Part A explores love, sacrifice, and the pursuit of dreams in a way that’s easy to relate to. But the love story of Manu and Priya is something you won’t want to miss. Their laughter, fights, sweet moments, kisses, hugs, tears, and most importantly, their strong desire to be together will pull you right into the movie theater experience.

Without giving away any spoilers, let’s take a peek into the world of Manu and Priya. This deeply in love couple shares a dream of getting married and starting a new life together. Manu works as a chauffeur for the rich, while Priya aspires to be a singer. Their quest for a home, no easy feat, leads them to dream of owning an apartment in a towering building. Many scenes in the movie will strike a chord because most of us have found ourselves in similar situations at some point in our lives.

As hinted in the trailer, one wrong step by Manu lands him in jail, and that’s when Sapta Sagaradaache Ello begins. The scenes set in the jail, featuring Rakshit, are a treat to watch. Rakshit fully embodies Manu in those moments, overwhelmed by guilt. It’s a guilt that isn’t entirely his fault but rather a longing to carve out a special corner in this fast-paced world with the one he loves.

Rukmini’s performance deserves applause. Playing the role of a soon-to-be bride waiting for her groom who’s stuck in jail, her portrayal will leave you in tears. But hold on, the director has only spilled half the beans in this movie. The rest of the story is kept under wraps for the second part, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side B.
