Actor Jr. NTR, who has worked with several directors in his over a decade-long career, says nobody could match up with the dedication of Sukumar, with whom he has worked in the forthcoming Telugu drama “Nannaku Prematho”.

Sukumar-directed “Naanaku Prematho” releases worldwide on Wednesday (January 13).

“Sukumar is the kind of director you don’t want to criticize even if his film fails, because there’s so much genuine effort in his work. I’ve never seen a director with so much of dedication and commitment. He pushes you to give your best,” NTR told IANS.

Recalling how committed the director was on the sets, NTR said: “We shot for nearly two months in London. Sukumar must’ve barely slept for two hours a day throughout this schedule. We’d start shooting from 7.30 a.m. and finish the day by 8 p.m., after which he will discuss next day’s work with his assistant till 2 a.m.”

NTR also revealed that he was originally supposed to team with up with Sukumar for another project.

“Sukumar was working on another script when his father passed away. He then narrated this story about how a son fulfils his father’s last wish. I was touched by the story. Unlike my regular commercial films, this one has a very strong emotional core,” he said.

The film, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad, also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Jagapathi Babu and Rajendra Prasad in important roles.
