‘We need a Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt film’: After AP Dhillon’s high-octane ‘Old Money’, fans demand a Bhai-Baba collaboration. Watch

Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have reunited on screen after almost a decade. The stars are seen as "elderly brotherly figures" to AP Dhillon, in the music video.

AP Dhillon’s high-octane action anthem “Old Money”, featuring Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt is out now and the Canada-based Punjabi singer and rapper comes out all guns blazing in the music video. The video is not only high on Punjabi rap, but also has thrilling action and car chase sequences.

The video of “Old Money” is visually stunning and looks like a leaf out of an out and out Bollywood action thriller. The song is a high-octane fusion of Punjabi rhythms and cinematic grandeur, which showcases Dhillon’s music brilliance and brings out the actor in him.

“Old Money” also features Dhillon’s longtime collaborator Shinda Kahlon besides AzizTheShake, Gray Hawken, Luca Mauti, Brendan Thomas and Madeleine Kay on production credits. Talking about his new single, Dhillon, in a statement, said, “‘Old Money’ is the perfect way for me to start my next era. I came up with a concept that was influenced by all my favourite action movies that I grew up watching. Shoutout to bhai (Salman Khan) and baba (Sanjay Dutt) for believing in the boy! I hope you love it as much as I do.”

In the video Dhillon is seen fighting a bunch of opponents with Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt coming to his rescue. The video is also special as the actors reunited after over a decade. According to the makers, the song aims at promising a universal message of brotherhood, compassion and loyalty. Many fans demanded a Sanjay Dutt-Salman Khan collaboration after the video. “Bring Bhai and Baba back together in a film now,” wrote a fan.

Dhillon’s “Old Money” also sees him co-directing the music video along with Shauna Gautam and covers everything from heirloom to weaponry to car chases. With the lead protagonists, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt embodying elder brotherly figures to AP Dhillon respectively in the music video, the song delves into the core values of staying true to one’s roots and inner circle. The music video concludes with a striking end slate ‘say no to violence’ emphasising the need to choose peace over conflict and using your talent and hustle as a weapon, elevating the music video from mere popcorn entertainment to a thought-provoking social commentary.
