Pop diva Mariah Carey has dedicated her hit song “Hero” to Australian businessman boyfriend James Packer at a Las Vegas concert.

The superstar, 45, has been linked romantically to Packer since June when they were photographed holding hands on vacation in Capri, Italy.

Before belting out her ballad “Hero”, the singer made it known absence really had made her heart grow fonder, telling fans, “I got a new heart tonight. James is in the house. Thank you for my heart. I dedicate this next song to you.”

Packer has reportedly been showering the mother of two with gifts in the past few days, sending 1,000 roses to her home and presenting her with a new diamond-studded butterfly necklace.

Carey split from husband Nick Cannon last year.
