Singer Lily Allen has come under fire for staging a nativity scene during a live show.
The 29-year-old singer emerged from a manger covered in hay for her show at Brixton Academy, with her on-stage crew dressed as donkeys and presents, reported Digital Spy.

Since the show, a Christian advocacy group and Conservative MP Martin Vickers have branded the staging ‘tasteless’ and ‘disrespectful’. “It is tasteless, it is disrespectful and it is crass,” Stephen Green of Christian Voice.

Vickers added, “This could be extremely offensive to many Christians. It is important that all religions are given the respect they deserve and I can certainly understand why some Christians believe their deeply held views are being squeezed out.”

Allen is yet to address the criticism.
