Music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan is overwhelmed after winning his first Grammy trophy, along with Ustad Zakir Hussain, British guitarist John Mclaughlin, kanjira player V Selvaganesh, and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan. After winning the prestigious award, the singer was asked how he was feeling and the impromptu tune had fans saying it was the 'most Shankar Mahadevan response to the win'. A video of him, along with V Selvaganesh and Ganesh Rajagopalan was shared on Reddit where he was asked on the red carpet, "How does it feel to win the Grammy today?" The singer-composer said, "Well it just feels like." and pointed towards Selvaganesh, who started singing the taal of Indian classical music. Mahadevan and Rajagopalan followed him and the trio brilliantly summarised their feeling through music. Then, Mahadevan continued, "Music is an amazing medium to convey peace, harmony and love. That's what global music is all about." Sharing pictures of himself with the coveted Grammy trophy, Mahadevan wrote, "WE DID IT ❤️ I never imagined that a band from where I have learnt my music and my musical aesthetics would be the band with whom I would eventually perform and win a Grammy. The 66th Grammys was held at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, and this year India won big with five musicians from the country winning eight awards.
