Despite being absent from the film scene for more than 10 months and having not starred in a Malayalam film for well over a year and a half, with an additional two and a half years since his last theatrical release in Malayalam, Dulquer Salmaan’s popularity shows no signs of waning, and his devoted fan base remains unwavering.

Now, as he prepares for the release of his most ambitious project to date, King of Kotha, directed by veteran filmmaker Joshiy’s son Abhilash Joshiy, the 36-year-old actor-producer is filled with immense joy and excitement.

With King of Kotha being one of the most anticipated Malayalam films at the moment, there have been various rumours around the film. One such rumour suggests that the team opted to reshoot the film’s climax. Dulquer Salmaan, the film’s lead actor and producer, has now addressed this rumour.

“I actually started a production house because I wanted to take care of my films and ensure that they are given everything they need and deserve. At the beginning of my career, I had seen films suffer, maybe because of the production or some other department. Yes, we did reshoot the climax of King of Kotha, but it’s not because there’s anything problematic. I think when you watch the film in one continuous flow, it warranted something even bigger,” Dulquer Salmaan said during a chat with Bollywood Hungama.

The song, composed by Jasleen Royal and sung by Jasleen herself along with Arijit Singh, narrates a captivating story in which Dulquer takes on the role of a charming prince who crosses the boundaries of dreams to be with the woman who dreams about him.
