Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara heap praise on Aavesham, Premalu: ‘Fahadh Faasil is from another planet’

There’s no stopping Malayalam cinema, which is currently churning out one hit after another. Manjummel Boys fever has just gotten over, but the industry is already back with another banger, Aavesham. Tamil filmmaker Vignesh Shivan recently took to social media to rave about Fahadh Faasil’s performance in Aavesham. On the other hand, ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara, who hails from Kerala, has come out with an appreciation post after watching Premalu.

Nayanthara shared a picture of Premalu and wrote that good films make her happy. Vignesh Shivan took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “Blown away by this wacky outstanding movie. Fafa Aiyaa you are from another planet. Crazy written. Amazingly executed. Malayalam cinema is just smashing everything out of the park.”

Aavesham has received overwhelmingly positive responses. Anandu Suresh of The Indian Express rated the film with 3.5 stars and wrote, “Excelling in both comedic and mass moments, Fahadh makes Aavesham his own, yet Jithu ensures it’s more than just a showcase for him. The kids’ characters are neatly developed, with Amban maintaining a constant presence and the chemistry between Sajin and Fahadh remains compelling.”

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham also stars Sajin Gopu, Hipszter, Mithun Jai Shankar, Roshan Shanavas, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mansoor Ali Khan. Fahadh Faasil’s wife Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed have produced the film.

On the other hand, Premalu, a rom-com directed by Girish AD, features Naslen K Fafoor, Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Akhila Bharagavan. The film earned over Rs 130 crore worldwide. It was recently released on Disney Plus Hotstar.
