Confirmed: Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s Premalu 2 is on the cards

Bhavana Studios has confirmed that a second part of the movie Premalu is in the making.

Bhavana Studios, the production house behind the hit Malayalam film Premalu, on Friday confirmed that a second part of the movie is in the making that would further show the lives of Sachin Santhosh (Naselm) and Reenu Roy (Mamitha Baiju).

The makers shared a concept poster of the film and wrote, “The Biggest RomCom blockbuster ever in Malayalam Cinema will be back in 2025! Let’s Premalu2.”

The hashtags in the tweet included Premalu actors Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, which has gotten the fans excited.

Directed by Girish AD, Premalu was praised by the audience and critics. Anandu Suresh of The Indian Express rated the film 3.5 stars and wrote, “Similar to Girish AD’s Thanneer Mathan Dinangal and Super Sharanya, this Naslen, Mamitha Baiju-starrer too effectively employs situational and observational comedy. Yet, Girish ensures that Premalu stands apart from his previous works.”

Premalu turned out to be a hit not just in Kerala but also in Tamil Nadu, Telugu states, and Karnataka. The sequel will also be released in all the four South Indian languages in 2025.
