Renowned Malayalam actor Anjali Nair’s daughter Aavni is already making strides as a teen artiste, appearing in massive films headlined by South cinema heavyweights like Suriya and Vikram, among others. Recently, Suriya himself showered praise on the little actor for her dedication to the craft, recalling how she continued filming for her scene in their recent Retro even after facing a fire accident on the set in which she suffered some burn injuries. The Tamil star maintained that she returned for shooting after taking rest for just 30 minutes, underscoring her resilience.

During an event organised as part of the Kerala leg of Retro’s promotions, Suriya invited Aavni onto the stage and commended her bravery and dedication. “There was a fire accident, and Aavni suffered burn injuries on her hand from the elbow to the wrist. Notwithstanding any of that, she returned for the shoot after taking a break for just half an hour because we could shoot there only for one day. She is such a brave-hearted girl,” he said.

Despite the director and other members of the movie’s team advising her to return home and take a rest, Aavni paid no attention to it. She, instead, took a short break and returned to complete her scenes in no time. “As Aavni’s mother, I feel blessed to have such a daughter. As an actress, I admire her strength and resilience. God bless you, Kanna,” Anjali added. She also thanked Malayalam megastar Mammootty and actor-screenwriter Vishnu Unnikrishnan for recommending the right doctors who could assist them. “Thank you so much; it means a lot.”
