BTS’ Jimin’s past love comment resurfaces amid Song Da Eun dating rumours: ‘Am I capable of…’
Rumors around BTS’s Jimin and actress Song Da Eun resurface after a cryptic video and an old interview comment on love spark heated debate.

Rumours around BTS’s Jimin and actress Song Da Eun refuse to die down, with fans pressing the agency to finally take a stand. The year-old dating claims reignited after Song shared a cryptic clip that appeared to show Jimin recognising her outside an elevator, reportedly filmed at his Seoul apartment. As both remained silent, the noise only grew louder when Jimin’s old interview comments about love resurfaced online.

Earlier, a post on Instiz went viral, bringing back an excerpt from Jimin’s Weverse Magazine interview last year. During the interview, producer Pdogg explained how the track “Who” from Jimin’s solo album Muse was written. According to him, the Filter crooner struggled to resonate with the theme of the song. He even had trouble connecting with the original “serenade” concept and questioned himself, saying: “Am I even capable of loving someone?”
The original excerpt quote reads, “Our plan was to follow that song with the lead single and write it as a serenade, but Jimin was having trouble relating to it. He asked himself, ‘Am I even capable of loving someone?’ and that question led to the creation of ‘Who.’ The album is about looking for some imaginary woman, but ‘Who’ is about the reality of feeling lonely and melancholy, and asking yourself where the person for you is, which is why we made it the very last track.” According to Pdogg, Jimin’s raw thoughts eventually shaped the song, which ended up as the final track on the album.
The timing of the resurfaced interview instantly grabbed attention as dating rumors between Jimin and Song Da Eun made rounds. A section of BTS fans showed support, urging Jimin to speak up if it’s true and promising they’d still root for him. Others argued he acted like he didn’t know love back then despite allegedly being in a relationship. For many, though, the excerpt changes nothing, singers often put out love songs regardless of what’s happening in their personal lives.
Meanwhile, since posting the video many believe hinted at her relationship with Jimin, Song Da Eun has been laying low. What’s made it worse is Big Hit Music’s complete silence, even though rumours about the two have lingered since 2022. Many believe Jimin should release a statement to protect the actor, who has been on the receiving end of hate for years. Back in April 2025, Song took legal action against those dragging her into the Burning Sun scandal and linking her to the BTS member. “There’s a reason I haven’t posted on my feed for months. Don’t start rumors saying I’ve become the accused. Now I’m even more eager to catch them,” she wrote at the time. “Everything’s my fault? Burning Sun? Escort girl? Fake news? That’s not me. I’m not the accused,” she added.
Back in 2023, she even tried shutting down the claims and warned the trolls, saying, “I am not insane.” This came after some fans believed many of her posts were taken at Jimin’s house. “Please take your questions about a third party’s business somewhere else. I’m in my right mind. Don’t threaten me about how scary the fandom is or accuse me of things I could be sued for,” she wrote.
