'The Mountain Between Us' actor Kate Winslet revealed that her friend Leonardo DiCaprio warned about the dangerous challenges she would face while shooting for the film. Kate said that Leonardo told her she might lose a limb making the film.

Kate said that Leonardo told her she might lose a limb while filming ‘The Mountains Between Us’.

Hollywood actor Kate Winslet has revealed that her dear friend Leonardo DiCaprio warned her that she would “probably lose a limb” making ‘The Mountains between Us’. According to Contactmusic, the 42-year-old actress took some advice from her ‘Titanic’ co-star before beginning work on the project, because he had a similar gruelling experience on ‘The Revenant’.

She said, “Leo said to me, ‘You are bloody out of your mind to do this. Do you know how hard it’s going to be? In those conditions, you’ll probably lose a limb.'” Though she found the filming tough, Kate thinks that Leo had it much worse when he shot his Oscar-winning role.

“He climbed into the carcass of a dead animal, naked. I think he’s got me well and truly beaten,” noted Winslet. The Oscar-winning actress also shared that she would love to team up with Leo again in the future. Kate Winslet shared, “We have zero plans [to work together again] but he’s one of my dear best friends. I hope we make it happen.”

Hany Abu-Assad’s ‘The Mountains Between Us’ film is based on the novel ‘The Mountain Between Us’ by Charles Martin. The film also stars Edris Elba, Dermot Mulroney and Beau Bridges in the lead roles. The premise of the film revolves around the character of Kate and Idris who play a journalist and a surgeon, respectively. The film is a romantic survival adventure where the two leads along with a dog survive a plane crash and are stranded in the wilderness with injuries.

The two stars have previously worked together in movies like ‘Titanic’ and ‘Revolutionary Road’.
