Oscars 2025 Date, Time, Live Streaming: The 97th Academy Awards are all set to take place on the early hours of Monday, March 3, as per Indian Standard Time. The ceremony is held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Sunday night, and will be available to stream live in India at the crack of dawn.

Oscars 2025: When and where to watch

The Oscars can be seen in India on television as well as on streaming. On television, the show will start at 5:30 am on March 3, Monday on Star Movies and Star Movies Select. The show will also be available to stream live on Jio Hotstar. The repeat telecast will be shown on Star Movies and Star Movies Select at 8:30 pm.

This time at Oscars, there is one Indian film in competition. Anuja, directed by Adam J Graves, has been produced by Guneet Monga, Priyanka Chopra among others. The film is competing in the category of Best Short Film (Live Action). The other films competing in the same category are – Alien, I’m Not a Robot, The Last Ranger and A Man Who Would Not Remain Silent.

Guneet Monga has previously won an Oscar for The Elephant Whisperers in 2023. The same year, Indian film RRR also won an Oscar in the Best Original Song category. If Guneet manages to win another Oscar, she will be the only other Indian apart from AR Rahman to win two Oscars. Rahman previously managed this feat in 2009 with Best Original Song and Best Original Score.

At the 97th Academy Awards, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez has scored 13 nominations, followed by Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist and Jon M Chu’s Wicked, both of which have earned 10 nods each.
