Donald Trump’s admin responds to Kim Kardashian over ‘inhumane’ ICE raids criticism: ‘Which one would you like to keep’
After Kim Kardashian called out the Trump administration for its poor handling of the Los Angeles protests, Trump's assistant secretary for Homeland Security fired back with a scathing post on X.

Donald Trump’s administration hit back at Kim Kardashian, once an ally, after she slammed the government for its “inhumane” Immigration and Customs Enforcement laws. The Skims founder, who grew up in Los Angeles and has seen how vital immigrants are to society, criticised the ongoing ICE raids in the city. Amid mass protests, Trump has deployed thousands of National Guard troops and marines. The move has sparked outrage among local leaders, who accused Trump of sending in soldiers without state approval or even bothering to consult them.

Kardashian, who’s never shied away from political debates, wrote on Instagram, “When we’re told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals — great. But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what’s right.” This isn’t the first time a celebrity has called out Trump’s immigration policies. From Selena Gomez to George Clooney, Nicki Minaj, and Kristen Bell, many have spoken up. But coming from Kardashian, who shares close ties with both Musk and Trump, the move caught many off guard.
Urging the administration to handle the crisis legally and without violence, she added, “No matter where you fall politically, it’s clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants. We can’t turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely. There HAS to be a BETTER way.”

Responding to her post, Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for Homeland Security, shared pictures of convicts and asked which one of them she’d like to defend. Their crimes included homicide, child molestation, and drug trafficking. “@KimKardashian, which one of these convicted child molesters, murderers, drug traffickers and rapists would you like to stay in the country?” she wrote on X. “These are just a few of the convicted illegal criminals who have been picked up in the last 72 hours.”
When Donald Trump entered the White House for his first term, Kardashian briefly teamed up with his administration on criminal justice reform. Because of her involvement, Alice Marie Johnson who was convicted in 1996 for a non-violent drug offense, was released. Meanwhile, DHS has been busy flaunting the arrest of “hundreds of illegal aliens.” But many California lawmakers, including Governor Gavin Newsom, slammed the move, calling it nothing more than a way to feed “the deranged fantasy of a dictatorial president.”
