Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt is promoting her Hollywood debut, Heart of Stone, alongside co-stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. In a new video, Alia, Gal and Matthias Schweighöfer use ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) to recreate sound effects from the film, including smoldering fire and loading bullets. The actors had fun whispering throughout the video, adding a unique touch to the film’s promotions.
In the video, they immersed themselves in the world of ASMR by recreating sound effects from the movie using actual objects. Alia was seen creating the sound effects for smouldering fire using a cellophane paper. She was seen crushing it hard and she also taught Matthias how to do it right. Alia then said, “In the Heart of Stone, they had to record the sound of many fingers. To match, we did this on screen.”
She then took a keyboard in her hand and started pressing the buttons aggressively. Gal also tried to create the hacking sound, but Matthias said, it sounded more like she was playing the guitar. The cast then tried to punch a cabbage. The caption along with the video read, “Our agents are not just pro at hacking AI systems but also at ASMR of hacking systems.”
What is ASMR
ASMR a feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound such as whispering, tearing paper etc.
Heart Of Stone trailer showed Alia playing the role of the antagonist. The actor plays a villain named Keya Dhawan in the film. Alia recently opened up about the biggest challenge she faced while filming and said in an interview with Toronto Sun, “I have to say on day one, because I’m so used to speaking in Hindi, suddenly on day one speaking in English was weird. Even though I speak in English most of the time, but acting in English suddenly felt a bit strange.”
