‘To be called a home wrecker was the worst’

Raj Kundra's estranged wife publicly blamed the actress Shilpa Shetty for the break-up of the marriage.

Shilpa Shetty has spoken out against accusations that she is a marriage wrecker and said she only started a relationship with her fiance Raj Kundra after he got divorced.

“I’m no home wrecker. I made it clear to him that our relationship could go no further than friendship until he actually had his divorce,” Daily Mail quoted Shetty telling Hello magazine in an interview.

Raj Kundra,a London-born billionaire businessman,was separated when he met Shetty,but his estranged wife publicly blamed the actress for the break-up of the marriage.

“It actually made me feel physically ill. To be called a marriage-breaker was the worst thing possible. It brought such shame on to my parents,and I felt so bad for their sake,” Shetty,who met Kundra in 2007 said.

The couple is planning to marry around October,and Shetty cannot wait to start a family in their new home in Weybridge,Surrey.

“I’m desperate to start a family,I just love children,and we’ve a beautiful ready-made nursery. I want at least two children,” Shetty said.

The couple plan to share the five million pound seven-bedroom mansion on the St George’s Hill estate,an enclave where celebrities such as Cliff Richard,Elton John and John Lennon have lived.
