Robert Pattinson too scared to sing

Pattinson has lent his voice to the soundtrack of 'Twilight'.

‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson says he has dropped the idea of becoming a rock star as he is too scared to sing these days.

The 25-year-old actor, who had earlier said he would cut an album one day, said he is afraid of being criticised for his musical offerings, media reports said.

“With movies,I can handle the criticism because you can always blame it on someone else. But with music,as soon as you put something out there everyone judges it,” Pattinson said.

“I don’t necessarily want people to judge it or care. The day it comes out I know I am going to be on the internet looking at stuff and I will probably shoot myself. So I don’t know if it is worth shooting myself over,” the actor added.

The actor has lent his voice to the soundtrack of the first film in the ‘Twilight Saga’ franchise.
