Perry desperate to introduce Brand to her devout parents

Pop singer Katy Perry can't wait to introduce her new beau comedian Russel Brand to her parents.

Pop singer Katy Perry can’t wait to introduce her new beau comedian Russel Brand to her parents in order to get their blessings before going further with their romance.

The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker is reportedly desperate to introduce him to her parents,Keith and Mary Hudson, both of whom are pastors who run an evangelical ministry in Temecula,74 miles south of Los Angeles.

The singer hopes to stage the meeting before she hosts the annual MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin next month, reported Sun online.

“Katy is as besotted with Russell as he is with her. However, her parents are extraordinarily strict Christians.

Katy is sure that, after a bit of getting used to him, they would approve of Russell, but she wants to get that initial meeting out of the way as early as she can,” a source said.

“Keith and Mary are devoted to the church and hold the institution of marriage as a central core of their beliefs.

They are genuinely happy for their daughter, but want to give Russell the once-over to check that he is,in fact,as suitable as Katy claims,” the source added.
