K-pop star Haesoo dies by suicide

Singer Haesoo, who was scheduled to perform at the Gwanjumyeon People’s Day event in Wanju Gun, Jeollabuk-do on May 20, has passed away.

K-pop star Haesoo has died by suicide. The 29-year-old trot singer passed away on May 13, according to Korean news channel YTN. The report further revealed that the singer was found dead in a hotel room and had left behind a suicide note.

Fans on the internet mourned the loss of the young singer. One of the fans wrote, “My condolences to the family and everyone else affected by this. I hope Haesoo can rest in peace now.” A few weeks ago, Astro member Moonbin was found dead by his manager in his Seoul apartment.

A fan also highlighted the importance of mental health and wrote, “Unfortunately this is becoming a regular occurrence. Mental Health is a major pandemic these days. It is extremely sad. RIP HAESOO, i hope you can find more peace now. Condolences to the family, friends and fans at this extremely upsetting and devastating time.”

After making her debut with the release of her mini-album My Life, Me in 2019, Haesoo had released a variety of captivating songs that resonated with fans. She was scheduled to perform at the Gwanjumyeon People’s Day event in Wanju Gun, Jeollabuk-do on May 20.
