I’ll not work with Kalki again on serious films: Kashyap
Director Anurag Kashyap has decided not to work with his wife, unless he gets a lighter, romantic film for her.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has decided not to work with his wife Kalki Koechlin on serious movies any more as he feels it strains their relationship.
The couple who apparently fell in love with each other on the sets of ‘Dev D’,later went on to do two more films together including the recently released ‘Shaitan’ and the upcoming ‘The Girls In Yellow Boots’,which is based on a script by Kalki.
Kashyap who is renowned for his intense filmmaking feels that working together on serious subjects takes a toll on their personal relation. “I am very serious about it. I won’t work with Kalki again till the time I have a lighter romantic film for her. When we work on intense films, our relationship gets very intense. It takes a toll on our personal interactions,” he said.
The director feels that the chances of creative clashes are high while working on the same project, and convincing the other becomes difficult at times.
‘The Girl In Yellow Boots’ is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 2.
