GenNext designers inspired by The Great Gatsby

Randhawa,Nitin Chawla,Pronoy Kapoor,Rixi Bhatia and Jayesh Sachdev – presented their collection.

Designer Pronoy Kapoor was inspired by the popular Hollywood blockbuster The Great Gatsby. The collection was aimed at the powerful women of the new age. The collection had slim skirts,sharply cut jackets,long sleeve jacket teamed with a pearl embroidered sari and stylish sheath dresses.

While another Aditi Holani’s theme called ‘Wabi-Sabi’ revealed relaxed human imperfections. The fabrics ranged from silk jersey,silk linen,silk suede and satin.

The collection had draped dresses,maxis,sari with the pallav emerging from an unexpected point and teamed with a shirt collar blouse this gave the combo a youthful fashion direction.

Inspired by the night creature owl,designers Aiman Agha and Armaan Randhawa creatively played with black and white theme. The designer displayed the owl embroidery for a maxi,the flying-owl embellished coat,stylish parallel trousers,jumpsuits,gowns with extended shoulders,jacket and skirt.

Designer Nitin Chawla showcased his all men’s wear collection called ‘The Tokyo Warrior’ that had strong masculine wear depicting clothes for a modern Samurai warrior.

Keeping the theme of the line firmly in place,there were armoured jackets,overcoats,shirts and leather overcoat.

Rixi Bhatia and Jayesh Sachdev presented a colourful,pop,kitschy,loud,spunky collection. The duo displayed jackets,

dresses,skirts,corset top,bolero jackets,maxis,backless top,and even a sari with a cropped top. The collection was

aimed at women who wants to stand out in a crowd. Men’s wear had soldier shirts,jackets,shorts and trousers.
