Claiming this whole exercise was done to address Facebook administrators about the loopholes in their security as his own account was hacked,he admitted that “his actions were stupid,” as said by defendant Gareth Morgan.

He was found guilty under the Computer Misuse Act on two counts and sentenced by Judge John Price at London’s Southwark Crown Court.

“You are clever with a computer and you hacked into the private part of somebody’s Facebook account. They have permission to get into part of the account and you hacked into private part by getting the email password. People deserve privacy and should not have their private correspondence made public,” remarked John Price.
