'Slumdog Millionaire' couple Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto played hide and seek with photographers in New York after a dinner date to avoid getting photographed together. The young stars who shot to global fame with the multiple-Oscar-winning potboiler were walking out of a restaurant after dinner when they spotted the waiting paparazzi and Patel immediately ran for cover, reported Daily Mail online. However, the actor soon saw the funny side and started laughing as he dashed away. Pinto too looked amused with her boyfriend's comic antics and laughed as she saw Patel running away from the photographers. The Mumbai native looked glamourous in a butterfly t-shirt dress and oversized sunglasses while Patel looked more casual in a striped shirt and jeans. The couple have been dogged by romance rumours ever since the release of their debut movie earlier this year but have not officially confirmed the relationship. Pinto, who was earlier engaged to a PR executive Rohan Antao, broke her engagement to be with Patel, who is five year junior to her. Their romance has also been confirmed by 'Slumdog' co-star Anil Kapoor who claimed,"When I meet them,I feel there is something happening." The couple were also spotted together in Philadelphia, where Patel is shooting his second film 'The Last Airbender' which will see him play a villain. Meanwhile,Pinto recently returned to New York after wrapping up her movie 'Miraal' in Israel.
