Desperate Housewives stars back creator Marc Cherry

Stars of the hit comedy-drama show Desperate Housewives have vowed to support the creator.

Stars of the hit comedy-drama show Desperate Housewives have vowed to support the creator and writer of the show,Marc Cherry,who has been alleged of assault by former show star Nicollette Sheridan.

Sheridan filed a lawsuit against Cherry accusing him of slapping her over a quarrel regarding a scene on the show. She claims that she was fired when she complained about Cherry’s behaviour on the set,reports The Daily Express.

The stunner also claimed that Cherry abused former castmate Teri Hatcher when she tried to report the case to TV officials on her behalf.

But the present stars of the show are backing up Cherry.

A joint statement released by them says,”It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being a part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing.”

Hatcher,Eva Longoria Parker,Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross say that they have “no first-hand knowledge of what Nicollette may or may not have experienced.”

Hatcher is not happy with the fact that her name was mentioned in Sheridan’s grudge.

“I’m honoured to stand with Eva,Felicity and Marcia,as a group,and clarify that our set environment is nothing less than an amazingly positive experience. I have never felt discriminated against. In fact,I have felt heard and respected by Marc and other executives in regards to both my professional and personal needs,” said Hatcher’s statement.
