Cameron Diaz splits from Alex Rodriguez

“They broke up recently. She’s very busy with her career and he’s had injuries and wants to focus on his game. They’re dedicated professionals,” a source said.

Despite their break-up,the pair intend to remain friends.

“They’re still very friendly and like each other. They have an enormous amount of respect for each other,” the source added.

Diaz,who was first rumoured to have split from Rodriguez in June,recently said that she realised how much she loved him while watching a Superbowl game.

“We were watching the game,and I was eating,and I was getting down to,like,the last couple pieces of popcorn. And all of a sudden,I see (Alex’s) hand coming in. Anybody who knows me does not put their hand in my food,especially when it’s close to my mouth. I said,’What are you doing?’ And then I went,’You know what? I love you too much,I’m going to give it to you. You deserve it’,” said Diaz.
