Zeeshan Ayyub recalls when Shah Rukh Khan gave him his own sweatshirt: ‘I haven’t seen a man with such great kindness’

Actor Zeeshan Ayyub, known for his powerful supporting roles in Hindi cinema, has worked alongside Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan in two films. In a recent interview with The Majlis Show, Zeeshan opened up about the superstar’s humility, kindness, and the lasting impression he leaves on people, not just as an actor, but as a human being. Sharing a heartfelt anecdote from the sets of Raees, Ayyub recounted a small but deeply meaningful gesture by Shah Rukh that he still cherishes.

“During Raees, they made promotional sweatshirts for everyone. Somehow, mine didn’t arrive. We were all sitting together, and people were getting theirs, so I asked, ‘Hey, where’s mine?’ Shah Rukh sir overheard me and said, ‘Of course it’s there!’ He went inside and came back with one — which I later realized was his. He handed it to me and said, ‘Here, it’s just a bit of a size issue, try it on.’ I tried it and said, ‘Sir, this is yours,’ and I began to protest, but he said, ‘No, it’s yours. Keep it.’ Describing the moment as one of the most beautiful in his life, Zeeshan emphasized that it wasn’t just about the sweatshirt, it was about the warmth and thoughtfulness behind the gesture.

He went on to reflect on his broader experience working with SRK, expressing deep admiration for the man behind the stardom. “As you spend more time with him, you realize you haven’t seen better manners or conduct in any person. He’s educated, wise, aware, and remembers people, a truly good human being. He is so good and kind that meeting him even once becomes a defining moment in your life — not because he’s Shah Rukh Khan. You might not even like his work, that’s possible. But as a person, you can’t deny how good he is.”

Zeeshan further added, “He treats everyone as an equal. That’s his philosophy, that’s the beauty of him. He doesn’t believe anyone is a ‘nobody.’ Everyone is equal. As a human being, he believes you must treat others with respect.” Zeeshan also recalled another unforgettable moment from 2018, during the promotions of Zero, when Shah Rukh Khan publicly tweeted about him. He was stunned by this gesture of his and it led to a flurry of calls from people in the industry, leaving him truly overwhelmed.
