Zeenat Aman dances on ‘Dum Maro Dum’ at her birthday party, says ‘larger-than-life Punjabis had me cutting cakes and dancing’

Veteran actor Zeenat Aman recently celebrated her 74th birthday with family and close friends. Among the guests at the celebration were actor couple Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi. Archana on Thursday shared a video on social media capturing the cake-cutting ceremony and a moment of her speaking with Zeenat one-on-one.

The caption of the video posted by Archana read, “Happy birthday, Zednat. Dancing last night on Dum Maro Dum with you was the highlight of the evening for me. Wish I could’ve captured it on camera. Loads of love to someone who’s always lived life on her own terms and continues to be an icon for millions, including me. Wishing you a fabulous year ahead, Zed, filled with love, laughter and good health.” Archana’s future daughter-in-law and actor Yogita Bihani also commented on the post and said, “So sweet.”

Zeenat Amazon also posted some pictures on her Instagram and thanked her fans and friends for their birthday wishes. She also mentioned the party and said that she was embarrassed by all the noise everyone made for her birthday.

She wrote in the caption, “Candles and flowers and cakes, oh my. Celebrated another turn around the sun as I always do – with the boys and Lily (the cats ignored the festivities). I always keep the celebrations small, but last night I had to attend a party hosted by my dear friend Pammi. My goodness! Those larger-than-life Punjabis had me cutting cakes and dancing like I haven’t in years! Not to mention that they embarrassed me terribly by making an announcement about my birthday on the microphone. This departure from normalcy was most fun, but I’m happy to be back in hermit mode again too.”

She ended the message with, “Anyway, thank you all for your wonderful messages. Please wish me a healthful year ahead.”

Zeenat Aman was last seen in the Netflix series The Royals alongside Ishaan Khatter, Bhumi Pednekar, Nora Fatehi, Sakshi Tanwar, and Lisa Mishra.
