Zeenat Aman posed like a ‘tigress in vengeance’ with her damaged eye after Sanjay Khan’s ‘Taj incident’: ‘You could see her swelling’

Jayesh recalled that some time after that, the “incident at Taj” happened, where her eye was “damaged”. “When she recovered, we organised a shoot with that little swelling and her damaged eye. I can’t forget that shoot because she was like a tigress. Her hair was open, she was lit from the back and she was giving pose after pose in vengeance. Killer shots,” he shared.

He added that they used a bit of make up but even with that, it was evident that her eye was swollen. “And when the pictures came, she just couldn’t believe it because even with the damaged eye which was slightly touched up with make up, it was still showing. And everyone loved the pictures,” he said.

Zeenat Aman has previously spoken about this incident in a chat with Simi Garewal, but she did not name her attacker. She said, “For many years, in my mind, it’s been obliterated because I think that’s what the human mind does. When there is something distinctly unpleasant, you just close your mind to it and pretend that it never happened and you promise yourself that it will never happen again. And that’s how you cope.”

Sanjay Khan, while promoting his memoir, The Best Mistakes of My Life, spoke about the incident in a chat with Hrishikesh Kannan and said that it was a PR attack. “I was so pained and horrified with the one-sidedness of the entire story because nobody even asked me what happened. This was a well planned PR attack against me which came like a blitzkrieg,” he claimed.

Sanjay added, “I was even accused of her eye going out… she is losing her eye which is not right. If you see ’81, ’82, ’83, ’84, she has done several films. There is evidence to the fact that she has perfect eyes. Later on in life she became a little squint because her mother was squint a little bit. It was a hereditary thing that was labelled one me that I slapped her, I never slapped her, and this was blasphemy.” He claimed that he met her the next day after the supposed incident and claimed that she was “perfectly fine.”
