Zarina Wahab says husband Aditya Pancholi’s affairs don’t bother her: ‘Many men have affairs and run their family, I don’t want to suffer’
Zarina Wahab married Aditya Pancholi just 15 days after their first meeting. The industry thought that a 'good looking and young' Aditya Pancholi will leave her in a week.

Zarina Wahab often talks about her inter-faith wedding with actor Aditya Pancholi, who is five years younger to her. The actors who met on a film set, decided to marry each other within 15 days of their meeting. In a recent interview, the actress recalled what led to this instant connection and a quick wedding. It all started when a good looking Aditya Pancholi couldn’t stop his tears while shooting for a film, forcing the makers to pack up for the day.
Speaking with Nayandeep Rakshit, the actress shared, “We got married within 15-20 days of meeting each other. We were working on Nari Hari film. This was the time I met him. He was a very good looking boy. He had a scene to shoot, where he had to cry. He started to cry and didn’t stop at all. We even had to stop the shooting for that day. We sat in the same car when I held his hand and told him ‘don’t cry’. At that time, he held my hand tighter and within 15 days we got married. Everybody said, she has married such a good looking man, he will leave her in a week. And look, its been 38 years.”
Post their marriage, there were several news of the actor having affairs with his co-stars and others in the industry, including a relationship with actor Kangana Ranaut. While Zarina agreed that Aditya often strayed out of marraige, she has often dismissed that it ever made her feel bad.
“People think I am very stressed. They simply assume that ‘she must be unhappy because Aditya is seeing this and that girl’ nobody says, ‘Yeh ladki dekh rahi hai inko’.” Zarina claimed it is wrong to blame the married man but not the girl who is in a relationship with him. “That’s wrong. This is all a phase which comes and goes. I never take these phases seriously as I know he will never get serious with anyone else as he loves me a lot.”
When asked if these rumours never gave her a bad day. Zareena quickly responded, “I used to feel a little bad when I used to read affair rumours, but then I also laughed at them. I don’t care what he does outside, but when he enters the house, he is an excellent father and husband. And that’s all matters to me. I would have felt bad if only he brought his affairs home. A lot of men have affairs and still run a family. If I will start taking these things too seriously, and start fighting over it then I will suffer. I don’t want to suffer, I love myself.”
She clarified that she is not with the actor for any kind of dependency but love. “I am very independent. Even If I had to live alone, I have money and properties in my name, but in reality I never thought of leaving him. We never discussed this.”
Previously, in an interview with Lehren Retro, Zarina said she was always prepared for her husband to have affairs post marriage. She said, “I was always aware of Nirmal (Aditya’s real name)’s affairs, but I never questioned him. I only cared about how he treated me when he was home. I ignored asking him questions because it would have made him fearless. I was completely prepared for him to have affairs.”
Aditya Pancholi was all over the news for having an extramarital affair with Kabir Bedi’s daughter, Pooja Bedi. He was also rumoured to be dating actress Kangana Ranaut in the initial days of her career.
Zarina and Aditya married in 1986. They are parents to a son, Sooraj Pancholi and a daughter, Sana Pancholi.
