Rama Raju Mantena, father of the bride Netra Mantena, is a dominant figure in the US pharmaceutical sector. The Orlando-based entrepreneur is the Chairman and CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, a company with operations and Research and Development centres across the US, Switzerland and India. He is the founder of several global healthcare ventures, including ICORE Healthcare, Ingenious Pharmaceuticals and OncoScripts.
Born in India, he completed his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) before pursuing a degree in clinical pharmacy from the University of Maryland. Today, he is considered a major tycoon in the pharmaceutical industry. While he is being described as a billionaire, there is no mention of his name on Forbes billionaire list.

As per a report in Rediff, Rama Raju donated a sahasra nama mala (a garland made of 1008 gold coins) weighing a whopping 28 kg to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam in 2017. The offering was estimated to cost Rs 8 crore at the time.

Meanwhile, Vamsi Gadiraju, the groom, is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Superorder, a software platform that helps multi-location restaurants manage delivery and takeaway operations more efficiently. His company has an estimated valuation of $18–25 million (Rs 208 crore), and he was included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2024.

The couple’s wedding festivities are being held across several luxurious venues in Udaipur, including The Leela Palace, Zenana Mahal and the island palace on Lake Pichola over three days. Videos of their celebrations, featuring many Bollywood stars performing, have gone viral.
Ranveer Singh energised the crowd with his performance and even made Donald Trump Jr and his girlfriend join him on the dance floor. He also rapped ‘Apna Time Aayega’ from his film Gully Boy. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon performed on their hit tracks.
