Over the decade, the shutterbug has used her lens to document several candid moments as well, apart from capturing nature and wildlife. “I’ve been to almost all jungle safaris in India except Gir. I have also gone on international safari trips. One of my favourite places is Namibia,” said Waheeda adding that South African country is  “beautiful with sand dunes touching the Mediterranean Sea and waves”. The actress also held an exhibition of her wildlife photos captured in Kenya, Tanzania and India.

A humble Waheeda, who calls her love for photography, “a real expensive hobby,” She once, sharing an interesting anecdote, told Filmfare, “I was always passionate about photography. I’d carry a Rolleiflex camera when we shot outdoors to shoot sunsets, and landscapes as well as photographs of my co-stars including Nanda, Raj Kapoor and even Satyajit Ray. Dilip (Kumar) saab would joke, ‘Jab dekho ladkon ki tarah camera lekar ghoomti rehti ho! (Dilip Kumar would react, ‘Look at her how she is always carrying a camera like a boy!)’.”
