Actor-producer Vivek Vaswani is known to be a close friend of actor Shah Rukh Khan. He had opened the doors of his house for him when the Pathaan star was new in Mumbai. In a recent interview, Vivek remembered the time when Shah Rukh Khan told him about his mother’s health and said, “My mother is dying”.

During an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Vivek said that it was around the year 1990 when Shah Rukh poured his heart out in front of the filmmaker-actor and told him what he was going through.

He said, “We went to Gehlot near Church Road. We ordered butter chicken and naan. He said to my face, ‘My mother is dying’. He poured his heart out. Then we went and sat on Marine Drive. He told me about his mother, the organ failure.” Vivek also recalled sending medicines for Shah Rukh’s mother from Mumbai to Delhi.
