Power couples Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli and Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh added the glitz and glamour to the recently concluded Indian Sports Honours 2023 in Mumbai on Thursday. Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi were among others who graced the sports honour evening.

All the celebrities attending the event put their best foot forward and made a stylish appearance for the big night. The special occasion which celebrates and recognizes the spirit of sportsmanship, honoured top athletes across various sports who have performed exceptionally well between 1st January 2021 and 28th February 2023. Cricketer Shubman Gill and Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra were present for the occasion too.

Anushka and Virat were in a playful and jovial mood as they fielded a few rapid fire questions on the red carpet of the sports event. Later, as Virat and Anushka walked off the red carpet, she seems to be having trouble walking given the length of her dress. Virat helped lift up the helm to help Anushka.

Ranveer Singh, who is a sports enthusiast, graced the event with his wife and actor Deepika Padukone and father-in-law and badminton legend Prakash Padukone. The trio donned black outfits with Ranveer and Prakash Padukone wearing sharp black suits and Deepika opted for a black saree.

Deepika and Anushka were seated next to each other and in one picture they seem to be gracefully cheering for the award winners.

Anitabh Bachchan took to his social media platforms to cheer for his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan whose team Jaipur Pink Panthers was given an honour last evening. He wrote, “YEEEAAAAHHHHHHH .. Abhishek ! my pride FilmFare Best Actor – ‘DASVI’ .. Jaipur Pink Panthers , which you own, wins Championship League in Kabaddi .. And .. now JPP wins the Virat Kohli Foundation Sports Honours trophy versus other league teams of Football and Cricket ! 👏💪.”

Ajay Devgn, who is currently promoting his next directorial Bholaa with Tabu was also present at the sports special evening.

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi were seen posing for pictures with Anushka and Virat. Neha shared pictures on her Instagram story and wrote, “Tonight for the love of sports and these two.”

Neha also shared a picture with “golden boy” Neeraj Chopra who is the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in Men’s Javelin throw.

Indian Sports Honours are awards given annually to outstanding sports personalities from the country by the RPSG Group in association with the Virat Kohli Foundation to outstanding sports personalities from India. This was the fourth edition of the honours. The awards were introduced in 2017.
