Vikrant Massey reveals he nearly punched a schoolboy to death in a fit of rage: ‘Realised I could kill someone’

Vikrant continued, “I saw this boy frothing in front of me and losing consciousness. His older brother came and whacked me left, right, and centre. All of this happened in a few seconds. I didn’t feel the pain of being beaten up by the brother because in that moment, I was afraid that the boy might die. I left it all, stopped doing karate, because I realised that I could kill someone. Unfortunately, after that, I would only get beaten up in fights because I never raised my hand again.”

When the host asked Vikrant if it was actually ‘unfortunate’ that he wasn’t beating people, the actor checked himself, and continued, “Fortunately, rather, I don’t know. Thankfully, rather, I never raised my hand on anybody again because the memory of that boy frothing at the mouth was still so sharp. I got into a few brawls because of friends after that, but I never raised my hand again, because I’m afraid that I can be triggered again.”

When the host pointed out that his demeanor doesn’t suggest that he could ever ‘kill a man’, Vikrant said, “Demeanors can also be deceptive, right?” The actor has played several unassuming men with toxic streaks, in films such as A Death in the Gunj, Haseen Dillruba, Ginny Weds Sunny, and Gaslight.
