Vicky Kaushal says he’s better at changing diapers than acting since becoming a dad: ‘It’s all magical right now’

Vicky Kaushal joked that he is now better at changing diapers, than acting. The actor shared that this was his time stepping out of Mumbai after his son's birth.

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif embraced parenthood with the arrival of their baby boy in November. Now, Vicky has opened up about experiencing fatherhood and revealed that he is truly enjoying this new phase of his life. At a recent event, he spoke candidly about stepping out of Mumbai for the first time since his son’s birth, which was very “tough” for him. The actor also revealed that he now considers himself better at changing diapers than acting.

The actor was present at an event organised by NDTV, where he received an acting honour. He shared on stage, “Thank you, this is for my family and my little one who has come in as a blessing… Yeh pehli baar hai jo main shehar chhodhke aaya hoon after becoming a father, and it was very tough (This is the first time I’ve left the city after becoming a father, and it was very tough). It was very tough, but I’m sure when he grows up, and he watches this, he’ll be proud of his dad.”

When asked if the new stage of fatherhood has been challenging, he shared, “It is too new to feel any challenges. It’s all magical right now. It’s all very blissful right now… I don’t know main shabdon mein nahi bayan kar sakta ke kya feeling hai (I can’t describe the feeling in words). There are all sorts of objectives that I can say, but it’s just a very special feeling, and, truly, God has been very kind. The family is very happy, and this one is for my entire family and especially for him.” He also laughed and shared, “I am better at changing diapers than acting.”

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal was last seen in this year’s highest Hindi grosser, Chhaava. The actor will next star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He will then start working on Amar Kaushik’s Mahavatar. Katrina is yet to start her next project.
