Actor Tisca Chopra, who is still remembered for her work in Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par, recently opened up about her experience with Dharma Productions and described them as “raja log (rich people).” Tisca has worked with Dharma Productions in films like Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Good Newwz. Tisca shared that filmmaker Karan Johar liked her work in Taare Zameen Par and has always been supportive since then.

When asked how it was to work in films backed by Johar, who is known for casting only his “favourite” people, she told Siddharth Kannan in an interview, “I think I am his favourite. He had loved Taare Zameen Par and he’s always been very encouraging.”

She added, “I worked with Raj Mehta in Dharma, Good Newwz is one of my favourites, it is such a delightful comedy. Akshay (Kumar), Diljit (Dosanjh), Kareena (Kapoor Khan), Kiara (Advani), what a film! If there is a mainstream, blockbuster funny film then it is a superb film to be a part of. I had first worked with Raj when he was an assistant in New York and I was doing a film, so he remembered to cast me for this.”

Tisca also shared that Dharma takes very good care of its people and makes sure that there are always enough options for everything. She said, “Everything is so organised in Dharma, everything is so smooth. There is a chill factor, if you need four changes (of looks) you’ll be given 40 options. I love them, raja log hai (they treat you like a king).”

Tisca was recently seen in Netflix’s Murder Mubarak which also starred Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia among others.
