Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan-starrer War was one of the biggest hits of 2019 and after the film, many felt that the two actors had great chemistry. In a recent interview, when Tiger was asked if he would ever play Hrithik’s love interest, the actor chuckled and said that he found it “weird” when people complimented his chemistry with Hrithik.

“It’s weird that a lot of the feedback I have gotten is like ‘Tiger, you have the best chemistry with…’ And I am thinking Shraddha, Kriti, who could it be? (And they say) Hrithik Roshan, which is so weird,” he shared on the latest episode of No Filter Neha. When Neha Dhupia spoke about Hrithik’s introduction scene in the film where Tiger’s character is completely taken by the Fighter actor’s charm, Tiger explained, “The subtext for me was that he is my hero and I am supposed to look at him with awe. Like I want to join your team, I want to be under your wing, that’s it.”

Tiger added that his expression has “apparently taken that different perception.” He concluded by saying, “I’ll take that as a compliment.”

“When I decided to become an actor, I said if there is a blueprint that I want to follow then it’s perhaps Hrithik Roshan’s blueprint, in terms of the complete package of a hero,” he shared.

Tiger recalled his first day with Hrithik on the set of War and said that he was “in awe” of the actor and “couldn’t really deliver” what he was supposed to. “He was really cool. He made me feel very easy about the whole situation and he used to ghost direct most of the time so it was quite cool,” he said.

Tiger Shroff explained what he meant by “ghost directing” and said that Hrithik Roshan would read lines with him and give him feedback on his performance. “When I would give my shot, he used to watch my playback and he used to say ‘It’s perfect. You don’t need another one but if you want to do it then do it this way.’ So it would feel very reassuring when he would pat me on my back and say it was a great shot,” he shared.

Tiger will soon be seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay Kumar. He also has Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns in the pipeline. In the same chat, he also spoke about starring in Rohit Dhwan-directed Rambo, produced by War director Siddharth Anand.
