Amid recent health scares involving Dharmendra and Prem Chopra, the film industry was taken aback by reports of Govinda being hospitalised. His manager and legal advisor revealed that the actor experienced sudden uneasiness and fainted, after which he was rushed to CitiCare Hospital — the same facility where he was admitted last year following an accidental gun injury to his leg. Fortunately, Govinda recovered quickly and was discharged soon after. He even interacted with the media, assuring fans that he was perfectly fine.
Now, his wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was out of town at the time, addressed the news in her latest YouTube vlog. Interestingly, she appeared somewhat disconnected from the situation, claiming she learned about the details of her husband’s health from online reports.
Responding to a fan’s concern, Sunita said, “Govinda is completely fit. He was working out to prepare for his new film Duniyadaari when he fainted.”
She added, “I have just returned and watched an interview where it was mentioned that he suffered fatigue due to over-exercising. But he’s doing well now. Don’t worry.”
Sunita Ahuja has often made headlines — sometimes over rumours of her “troubled” marriage with Govinda and other times for her candid remarks about his alleged link-ups.
In the same vlog, she also addressed a recent controversy where Govinda publicly apologised to his priest after Sunita called him a “chor” during a podcast appearance on Abraa Kaa Dabra with Paras S Chhabra.
Clarifying her stance, Sunita said, “I didn’t like how Govinda apologised to his priest with folded hands. I never mentioned anyone’s name; I was just sharing one of our personal experiences. If anyone felt hurt by my words, I apologise to them and to all priests. Govinda has three different priests — he didn’t need to name anyone or publicly apologise. I felt very bad that he had to do that because of me.”
Later in the vlog, Sunita also shared a strong message for men, staying true to her outspoken nature. When a fan asked how to make their wife trust them, she advised: “Be loyal. Give her time. Stay true to her. Don’t even think of cheating, because when a wife is hurt, even the strongest man can fall.”
