The singer reflected on a landmark Kashmir concert recently. Post the event, Sonu Nigam in an interview with The Indian Express, was asked, “In today’s world, with AI changing how music is made, how do you think it impacts the creative process — especially when we now hear AI recreating Rafi saab and Kishore Kumar’s voices?”
Reacting to this, the singer shared, “AI should be treated as an assistant, not as your boss. It’s a tool that can support creativity, but it should never replace the human soul that gives music its true essence.”
The event was also special as it took place at the picturesque Dal and the majestic Zabarwan Mountains as the backdrop, and was the first such event since the Pahalgam attack in the Valley.
This month, Nigam embarked upon his seven-city Satrangi Re tour. The tour will begin in Mumbai and will be performed in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Shillong and Delhi.
