The makers of Simmba on Wednesday released a behind-the-scenes video. Proving yet again that Rohit Shetty is one of Bollywood’s best action movie directors, the clip, which was tweeted by co-producer Karan Johar, shows the action avatar of not just Simmba’s lead actor Ranveer Singh, but even the Singham director.
The half-a-minute video is replete with flying cars, breaking tables, shattering glass windows and a lot of punches, à la Rohit Shetty style. We see Ranveer in his ACP Sangram Bhalerao character as he takes on the criminals in his own manner. And in the midst of all this, Rohit’s shots are smoothly inserted, hinting at why the director is indeed the real action star on his films’ sets.
Tweeting the video clip, Karan Johar wrote, “The ACTION MAN ROHIT SHETTY and the new cop on the block RANVEER SINGH in and as #SIMMBA @ranveersingh @itsrohitshetty @reliance.entertainment @dharmamovies @rohitshettypicturez @simmbathefilm Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan”

On Independence Day this year, Ranveer had shared another making video of Simmba where he was seen packing some punches. The video showed him in his cop get-up looking ready to punish those who harass women. Through various captions, it imparted the message of stopping crime against women.
Just a day ago, it was confirmed by the film’s team that the cast of Golmaal, including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu, are set to do a cameo in Simmba. Rohit’s close friend and actor Ajay Devgn will also be seen in a special appearance, playing his popular character of Bajirao Singham in Simmba’s climax.
