Sikandar box office collection day 4: Salman Khan’s film is far from crossing Rs 100 cr mark after reduced shows and negative word-of-mouth
Sikandar box office collection day 4 India and worldwide: Salman Khan's new film had over 8000 shows on the day of its release (March 30). However, the number of shows has now reduced to 7000.

Sikandar box office collection day 4: Salman Khan’s Sikandar is far from reaching the Rs 100 crore mark even after four days of release. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. Sikandar marked the return of Salman Khan on the big screen post his 2023 film Tiger 3. However, the actor’s return failed to make much of an impact at the box office, as the film continued to witness drops in collections. It fell by 50% on day four, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
The film, which opened at Rs 26 crore on Sunday, went on to earn Rs 29 crore on its first Monday, the holiday of Eid. It witnessed a drop of about 33% on day three, earning Rs 19.5 crore. On Wednesday, the film earned Rs 9.75 crore with shows being reduced from 8000 to 7000 across India. Sikandar’s current total stands at Rs 84.25 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.
The film witnessed an occupancy of just 12.08% on day four, compared to 21.6% on release day. This is the second time that Salman Khan’s Sunday release strategy has seemingly back-fired, after Tiger 3 two years ago. Neither film could meet fan expectations, performing poorly at the box office.
Due to Sikandar’s poor performance, several theatre owners across India have either removed the film or replaced it with other regional films. Sikandar had over 8000 shows on the day of its release. However, on day four, the number of shows has been reduced to as less as 7000. The shows in Mumbai have reduced to 1193 on day four from 1381 on day one, which is a drop of about 200 shows. Similarly, the shows in Delhi have been reduced to 1677 from 1894 on release day.
Sikandar opened to negative reviews and mixed word-of-mouth, which eventually took a toll on the footfall in theatres. The film should, however, cross the Rs 100 mark in two days. It is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 200 crore.
