Shehnaaz Gill opens up about being trolled for wearing ‘chote kapde’ in Thank You for Coming: ‘Meet me in person…’
Shehnaaz Gill said that she has a firm policy in place for dealing with trolls, as she addressed the backlash she received for wearing short clothes in Thank You for Coming.

Actor Shehnaaz Gill said that while she generally follows a very simple rule when it comes to trolls – she believes in staying silent – she is convinced that if her detractors would just meet her personally for a few minutes, she’d be able to convert them into her fans.
At the India Today Conclave, Shehnaaz said that she was trolled for the outfits she wore in her new film Thank You for Coming. She said in Hindi, “The way Rhea Kapoor has syled us in the film, people are shocked that I could wear such short clothes. People really need to change their mindset. Don’t judge me for the length of my clothes. Meet me personally, sit with me for two minutes, mere fan naa hogaye mera naam badal dena (I guarantee I’ll make you my fan)’.”
Shehnaaz got her start on Bigg Boss 13, where she finished in third place. Her relationship with co-contestant Sidharth Shukla became a huge talking point, even after the show ended. The spotlight only increased on Shehnaaz after Sidharth’s passing in 2021.
Addressing her trolls in a recent interview with B4U Entertainment, she said, “I have a big fan following but I also have a lot of haters, trolls. People think that whatever Shehnaaz does is not her real personality, it’s all fake. They have never seen a personality like mine. I am so unique so people can’t digest that she’s so cute, is she trying to be too cute? Bro, I am really cute.”
Shehnaaz said that she has always dreamt of being a Bollywood star, and that even though her performance in Thank You for Coming might not be up to the mark, she considers the film a great career opportunity. Shehnaaz has appeared in Punjabi films such as Sat Shri Akaal England, Kala Shah Kala, Daaka and Honsla Rakh. She made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
