First few seconds of the video and you know you have a winner in hand. Amit Trivedi’s music and Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s dance moves add the perfect zing to the first official song of their forthcoming movie ‘Shaandaar’ – ‘Gulaabo’.

The song shows Shahid, as the handsome wedding planner Jagjinder Joginder and Alia, as Alia, arranging a celebratory dance party for the bride-to-be played by Shahid’s sister Sanah. Hence, ‘Gulaabo’ is a perfect fit for any bachelorette bash.

The song opens with JJ calling Alia out as they enter a shady party place. It’s a treat watching Shahid and Alia shake a leg to the foot tapping tunes of the song. Alia leaves no stone unturned in matching steps with inarguably one of the best dancers in the industry – Shahid, and makes the song her own not just with her moves, but also expressions.

Shahid, as usual, is a dance lover’s delight and after such a long time, it’s a bliss to watch him dance.

Shahid Kapoor’s half sister Sanah, Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak’s daughter, is the surprise package of the song. She is cute, bubbly and perfectly fits the bill of ‘Gulaabo’. The last scene of the video can go in her and Shahid’s book of memories as the sibling revelry is too adorable to miss.

Amit Trivedi is surely back in the serious business as he scores huge with this song. Vishal Dadlani and Anusha Mani have sung it just the way it should have been – madly and yet, so strikingly. Bosco-Caeser are the winners with the well-choreographed sequences.

‘Gulaabo’, most certainly, makes us ask for more. Bring it on, ‘Shaandaar’.
