Bollywood is set to get its brand new onscreen pair in 2015. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming film ‘Raees’ will bring him onscreen with ‘Raanjhanaa’ girl Sonam Kapoor for the first time.
Film’s producers Excel Entertainment have confirmed the news saying, Sonam Kapoor will be seen romancing the King Khan for the first time.
Apart from this new pair, the film will also have SRK in a completely new look along with ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ actor Farhan Akhtar, who will play a prominent role in the film.
According to reports, a number of make-up artists from Hollywood will be roped in for SRK’s look in the movie.
Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a bootlegger and actor-turned-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar a cop in Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Raees’.
“Shooting for this film will begin from mid of 2014. Shah Rukh will be playing a bootlegger and Farhan a policeman. It is an interesting story,” Dholakia had said in his interview earlier.
The film will also have Shah Rukh and Farhan sharing screen space for the first time. However, they had worked together for the remake version of ‘Don’ and its sequel ‘Don 2’, where Farhan was involved in the project as a director while SRK played the main lead.
‘Raees’ is slated to release on Eid 2015.
