Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan trailer launch Live Updates: The stage got set for the release of one of the most anticipated films of the year, Atlee Kumar's Jawan. And, ahead of its global premiere on September 7, the film's lead actor and Bollywood's Badshah Shah Rukh Khan is all set to release Jawan trailer today. The trailer was preceded by a grand Jawan pre-release event in Chennai on Wednesday. This programme took place at Sri Sairam Engineering College in Chennai. Affirming his presence at the event, King Khan tweeted: "Vanakkam Chennai, I am coming!!! All the Jawans - girls & boys at Sai Ram Engineering College be ready. I am excited to meet you all! Might even do some tha tha thaiya if asked. See you tomorrow from 3 pm onwards." Ahead of the Wednesday event, the makers of the film had released the third track, “Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya”, from the Jawan album on Tuesday. Two other songs — the rousing anthem “Zinda Banda” and the romantic ballad “Chaleya” — had been released previously. Reportedly, Nayanthara, who has stayed away from social media all this while, will launch her Instagram handle ahead of Jawan trailer release. However, she didn't attend Jawan pre-release event. Composer Anirudh Ravichander, along with Vijay Sethupathi and other members of the film's cast, attended the event. According to trade sources, Jawan’s trailer is likely to kick off the advance booking for the film in India. A few days ago, director Karan Johar shared on social media a cryptic post about a trailer he was thoroughly impressed with. “I just witnessed the trailer of the century!!!!!!! #iykyk,” without disclosing the film’s title. However, netizens quickly deduced that Karan was actually talking about the trailer of Jawan. Starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover and Yogi Babu in key roles, alongside SRK, Jawan’s script has been jointly written by Atlee and S Ramanagirivasan and dialogues by Sumit Arora. Bankrolled by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan’s music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
