Shah Rukh Khan has come down to Chennai many times for events, award functions, and shoots. However, for the first time, he was in Tamil Nadu for the grand promotion of his own film — Jawan. The event held at Sai Ram Engineering College on August 30 is still being discussed on social media. Clips and speeches from the event continue to be talking points. One such video is that of SRK bowing down to Atlee’s mother at the event.

Throughout the event, all the guests were notified to wrap up their speech as soon as possible as SRK had to catch a flight back to Mumbai. However, the Bollywood superstar looked calm and didn’t betray any urgency as he took the stage for his thank you note. He wished everyone in Hindi. After the speech, the whole team of Jawan was asked to get on stage for photos.

Atlee brought his mom on stage and introduced her to Shah Rukh Khan, who immediately bowed down to her. His gesture was captured and the clip of the same has gone viral on social media. Fans across the country, especially from Tamil Nadu, were moved by Shah Rukh’s gesture. He is being called ‘the most humble superstar’ by fans.

Jawan, which features predominantly Tamil actors and technicians, has already done good business in Chennai. Trade analysts claim that the ticket sales are on par with that of any Tamil star’s film. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Priyamani are part of the movie’s cast. The film will be released on September 7.
