When Shah Rukh Khan advised Kapil Sharma to not worry, said people love him: ‘My shows were being cancelled…’
Kapil Sharma appeared on the show Aap Ki Adalat and spoke about the time when Shah Rukh Khan personally met him and gave him advise.

Kapil opened up about the times when he canceled shoots with Bollywood’s biggest names and also revealed the advice given to him by Shah Rukh Khan.
On the show, Kapil was accused of being a ‘late latif (latecomer)’ and was asked, “There was a time when big stars like Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan kept waiting on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show, but you never showed up for the shoot.”
Kapil replied and said that the incidents were from the time he was dealing with depression and anxiety, adding that he was not in a position to work at that time. “Mera kaam tha logon ko hasana. Jab aap andar se khush nahi ho, aap kaise kisi ko hasa sakte ho (My work was to make people laugh. But when a person is not happy on the inside, how can he make someone else laugh).”

The actor-comedian said that there was a sense of pressure when people kept on telling him to work. He explained that nobody was ready to listen to him and added that he started to drink to handle the pressure. “Maine kisi ko wait nahi karaya, but bohot saare shoots cancel hue hai (I have never made anyone wait, but a lot of shoots have got canceled).”
Kapil said that he was sad when Shah Rukh’s shoot was canceled but also added that the actor understood the situation he was in. The actor revealed that Shah Rukh met him personally and spoke to him for an hour. Kapil said that Shah Rukh lovingly explained to him and told him, “Why are you taking so much tension, people love you so much.”
