Satish Shah’s last social media post was in memory of late Shammi Kapoor: ‘You are always around’
Just a day before his unfortunate passing on Saturday, Satish Shah had wished late great actor Shammi Kapoor on what would have been his 94th birthday.

The veteran actor had a sudden kidney failure, and was rushed to Hinduja hospital in Mumbai where he passed away. Just a day before his passing, Satish had shared a throwback picture reminiscing his memories with late actor Shammi Kapoor.

Satish took to his account and posted a picture with Shammi, which also featured Govinda. The caption of the post read, “Happy Birthday dearest Shammi ji. You are always around for me.” While Satish didn’t have a lot of acting credits alongside Kapoor, he did work with Govinda on more than one occasion. The duo collaborated on films like Hero No 1, Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, and Sandwich. The latter also had Shammi Kapoor in the film, playing the character of Baba Trilokchand.

Apart from playing memorable characters in films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, Khichdi The Movie, Fanaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Kal Ho Naa Ho, the actor was revered for his performance in the Indian television sphere. Shows like Ghar Jamai, Ye Jo Hai Zindadi, and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, cemented Shah as one of the premium comedic actors of the country. His ability to play a unique role in every single episode of Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, elevated the show to new heights.
Satish Shah was 74.
