Satish Kaushik’s daughter Vanshika and wife Shashi still recovering from his loss, says his nephew

It’s been over a moth of Satish Kaushik‘s passing. The actor- filmmaker’s nephew and film producer Nishant Kaushik has opened up about how Satish’s family — daughter Vanshika and wife Shashi — are coping with the loss. He shared that Vanshika has been missing Satish a lot especially as it is his birth anniversary today.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Nishant shared that Vanshika, Satish Kaushik’s ten-year-old daughter is now slowly coming to terms with his death and has made a birthday card for him as a tribute while Shashi is being brave in order to take care of their daughter.

Nishant said, “In the past few days, she has broken down again and again. Yesterday, too, she cried a lot, and chachiji had to put her to sleep. She is missing Satish ji, and says ‘papa’s birthday has come, but he is not here’. She has even made a card for him. Chachiji, as a mother, is trying to be brave and being with Vanshika.”

He further shared that the family is trying to “divert” Vanshika’s mind but she the “vacuum” is hitting her, in fact, the girl used to make reels with her father on Instagram, has now stopped using social media altogether.

“The loss is hitting Vanshika now. She is very young. While we are trying to use several ideas to divert her mind, she is missing him a lot. The two had a special bond, as she used to wait for him to come back so that they could make videos together. The vacuum is hitting her,” he revealed.

Satish Kaushik died at the age of 66 in Gurugram on March 8. Known for his work in over 100 films, the actor-filmmaker suffered a heart attack.
